A new public garden to the west of the gallery will provide an informal setting for the existing grade II listed watermill (visible on the left side of the image).
The garden will be accessible via steps, or a series of gently sloping ramps, down from the gallery entrance terraces.
The riverside will be bordered with low level planting and a mixture of existing and newly planted willow trees.
