Overview of gallery and watermill from west
The gallery is organised as a series of connected spaces, each expressed as an individual block.
There are ten blocks in total, including nine gallery areas and a central stair and lift lobby.
The scale of the blocks responds to the scale of the surrounding buildings, including the existing watermill (visible in the foreground).
The galleries vary in size according to the scale of the works they contain, with intimate rooms for earlier works and larger spaces for contemporary works.
