The Wagging Tongues project has also been very successful. This used the power of proverbs to create artwork, puppets and even a theatre performance.
Five Wakefield primary schools were invited to take part in storytelling and puppet making workshops based on the Wagging Tongues exhibition at Wakefield Art Gallery.
A selection of the puppets was used to promote the Journeyman, a performance at Wakefield Theatre. The performance had also been developed around the exhibition, and was the result of a community partnership project celebrating the wealth of cultural opportunities within Wakefield.
